Fox Float DPX2
SSD Modification and HSB Adjustment System
Factory, Performance Elite and Performance(limited to main piston tune)
The DPX2 is internally limited by the base valve tuning capability
and with
progressive linkages this makes the high speed square edged
bumps a bigger issue. The compression adjuster lever system on the piggyback
does not use
a traditional shimmed tuning system and cannot be made compliant enough for
large volume created by the increased shaft displacement of progressive linkages
and limits the high speed performance on square edged bumps.
Therefore we prefer to limit the tuning options for more regressive ending
linkage systems.
For more progressive linkages we prefer to modify and tune the DPS
inline over the DPX2 or offer a coil shock conversion option.
The DPS allows us to do a complete internal swap for parts that we make to
allow proper tuning and performance.
The tuning involves replacing the low speed adjuster with
what we call a HSB low speed threshold adjuster which will give you more low
support and less wallowing than
the stock adjustment system, we the revalve the main piston to match the leverage
of your frame and your riding requirements(weight, speed , terrain and type
of riding)
and set up the air can with the proper volume spacer to maximize travel and
minimize bottoming.
The
SSD/HSB conversion takes a different approach to the shock adjustment. Technical discussion:
The HSB also provides for a smooth transition of low
speed compression Mid and high speed rebound is controlled by a custom
valved shim stack to match the riders weight(air can pressure) and
the leverage of the frame. This shock is very noisy due to the internal
paths of oil circulating in and out of the compression/rebound adjuster
system. Includes New Interactive Set-Up Chart Example
Also includes complete rebuild service, oil, nitrogen charge and typical wear parts* included in price. New lower friction, higher temperature shaft seal
and IFP seal, and more reliable IFP charging puck. **The shock must be in good working condition with
no scratches or dents on moving parts,

Air Can
Rebuild Kit
Air can and air sleeve
After 50 hrs of riding the air can seals and
air sleeve piston seals need service or replacing and if not replaced
periodically We may suggest you replace the stock seals when we inspect
your internals or Shocks newer than 50 hours need only be cleaned and reassembled typically. Add option here Price $29.95 includes parts and labor
